Craft Updates!

I’m still working on being crafty and making our apartment the geekiest, most adorable place it can be. I think I’m doing a pretty good job!
My favorite new addition is this bookshelf. On top we have our Lego Hogwarts Express, usually reserved for Christmastime. My Hermione wand is in front of it. The next shelf has one of each book in the Harry Potter series, Lego Harry Potter people, and Hagrid’s Hut. Next we have some of our favorite books, my TARDIS mug, and our sonic screwdriver Wii remote. The last shelf holds all of our comic/webcomic books.
Yeah, I really love this shelf.
This is my new hairpin box. I have quite a few clips and pins and other hair decoration thingies and I’ve been getting tired of finding them all over the apartment. I took an old Altoids tin and glued this drawing from Harry Potter 3 onto it. For those of you who haven’t read the books a billion times, the drawing is from the beginning of the chapter “Hermione’s Secret.” I really wanted a picture of Hermione and her crazy hair, but alas, it was not to be.
And this is my new tea tin! I took an old tea tin and glued some Harry Potter pages onto it.

Harry Potter Paper Hearts!

The fun I have with my dying copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is never ending! I’ve made a few more paper flowers and today I decided to get rid of my regular paper snowflakes and replace them with Harry Potter paper hearts!
It really wasn’t anything difficult or time-consuming. I added some little hearts on to some of the big ones, and some of them I added some purple or blue highlights. Mostly it was just really fun to cut lots of hearts out!
